DCD Transporters was founded in January 2020 by Darren DuRose a keen traveller and car enthusiast.

Darren has studied various disciplines of engineering and with experience working for a well know national motoring break down company then followed by over 16 years working within the motorsport arena supporting and maintaining some of the most prestigious classic and sports vehicles in the world.

Having owned a variety of vehicle marques over the years Darren can certainly say he’s nearly tried them all!! Always returning to Volkswagen where the passion burns strongest, Darren is a massive VW fan having been part of the VW tuning scene since the ‘90s and has owned some pretty cool VWs from a Golf Rallye to a very early MK1 Golf GTI and a variety of camper vans including a ‘78 VW Bay Window Westfalia Berlin and VW T5 built by himself from the ground up into a multi magazine featured camper van, look out for his vans in national magazines including VWt, VW Camper and bus plus others!! Some of the vans include a lowered 2018 VW Crafter, which debuted in 2021, breaking the mould of the traditional swamper-style builds and lifted suspension. DCD Transporters desiged, developed and brought to market the only lowering kit for these vans.

Darren is also a well seasoned traveller having spent a lot of time travelling through europe and beyond with minimal use of hotels.

DCD Transporters believe that despite the diminutive size of a camper van it shouldn’t mean you need to compromise, whether its a paired back exploration vehicle, a hobby pursuit van or a luxurious camper with all the mod-cons we believe in the use of as many ethically sourced and sustainable materials as possible and with a considered build style keeping things light means you can go further too.

DCD can help with everything from flooring to full furniture set ups. We can also provide services for modifications too, suspension, bodywork and paint, lighting and all accessories can also be fitted here at DCD.
